Alpha Alpha Gamma Zeta Chapter was chartered on October 22, 2013 by 11 awesome Zetas: Jackie Blue, Shantori Brown, Jamie Butler, Sherrell Catchings, Adrienne Davis, Shalonda Nash, Elizabeth Parsons, Timeka Pearman, Verna Perry, Denise Rogers, and Kara Stewart. Jamie Butler was elected as the Chapter’s 1st President. Timeka Pearman, served as the 2nd president from 2014-2018.
Since the first membership class was inducted in Spring 2014, the Chapter has seen tremendous growth. Last year, the chapter set a goal to grow in membership and increase their visibility and efforts in the community. Since chartering in October 2013, the chapter has initiated ten (10) new members, brought four (4) members home to Zeta, and welcomed three (3) transferred members into our beloved chapter.
We noticed a great deal of interest from women who attended and/or supported our events but did not meet the requirement for membership into our sorority. Since the women served the community alongside the Zetas and believed in the principles and ideals of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., the Zeta Amicae of Phenix City was chartered August 9, 2016 with five dynamic women.
